Most tracks have subtle sidechain compression, which I got rid of for the stems. But there are a few spots with real hard compression – I left those in.
amazing job here. really interesting take. up the stems i want a crack at it.

Best Use of Sultry Sax 2011, no doubt. I dialed up the max upload size to fit the many, many stems, too. Fire when ready…!

This is the unlikely story of a bouncy, moseying melody’s journey into a smoldering machine-noise darkscape. It is awesome.

Very belatedly: the disjointed room-noise vocals are a perfect fit for the ambling synth lope. I’m going to call this remix method “re-toasting”. Big up!

This track from 2007 was originally going to be included on the EP ‘Loose Contacts’, but it didn’t make the final tracklist.
The stems presented are the originals from 2007, but the final mix differs a bit – some extra samples were added and the arrangement altered when it was being considered for release.
As far as I recall most of the base sounds were derived from a ring-modulated cowbell sample.
